Very recently however I bought a camera. I haven't ever owned a good camera. I used to have this 3 megapixel Kodak that was pure trash. I received this camera second hand at a time when cheap cameras already ran 6 or 7 mega pixels. The screen was horrible, unusable actually. The viewfinder was off center of the lens and even for a 3 megapixel it was grainy. There was no optical zoom and it could kill batteries in a month while off with nothing stored on it. I threw it away a few months ago. The camera I just bought is a Fujifilm Finepix J20 10 megapixel with 3x optical zoom. While this camera is nothing special really it is however good enough for an a beginner like me. Since I bought this camera I've been taking pictures of everything I find interesting. Some of them I throw up on here, others I delete before I get home. What's interesting is I never realized how different Portland is compared to any other town until I started photographing it. I'm going to keep photographing Portland and documenting the best and worst of this city as well as the just plain strange. Portland YOU are my muse, it is by YOU I am inspired!

If you talk to Chris about me, which I'm sure you have, please refer to me as Kay, not Kate. I really don't want anyone in Portland to call me Kate.
Moriah gets to because she's known me for a long time, and you get to because you're her boy. No one else though.

Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is a mystery.
But today is a gift.
That is why they call it the present.
